How To Care For Your Crushes Fresh Flowers

Tips and Tricks to Keep Your Flowers Perfect

Fresh Bright Flowers Delivered NExt Day In Melbourne fro Crushs Flowers Online

Don't just sit your flower bbs on the table and let them go. With these few simple tricks, your beauties can last twice as long.

Here's how:

Wrapped Bunch

Unwrap your flowers and ideally trim the ends of the stems, on a slight angle, with sharp scissors.

Put the flowers in a vase with fresh water and arrange them until they look super cute. We arrange and wrap your flowers so they should be perfect when you put them straight into your vase, but sometimes a little fluff will be welcome.

Every few days, change the water and re-cut the stems.

Vase Arrangement

If your flowers arrive in a vase, ideally change the water and re-cut the stems every few days. You can remove stems as they wilt to keep the remaining flowers and foliage looking great.

How Do You Make Fresh Flowers Last Longer?

When you’re learning how to care for fresh flowers, there are a few fresh flower care tips you can use to make them last even longer.

Keep Them Hydrated

Flowers are thirsty! Especially after they’ve been freshly cut. As soon as you receive your bouquet, pop them in a vase with fresh water and be sure to top up the water so the bottom of every stem is submerged.

We also recommend cleaning out the vase with hot soapy water regularly as this will prevent a build up of bacteria.

Prune & Trim

Remove any dead leaves and petals regularly, and any leaves below the water line to prevent the growth of bacteria.

Keep Your Flowers Away From Heat & Bright Light

Unlike plants, freshly cut flowers don’t need sunlight! The cooler the better. So make sure to keep your floral arrangement away from windows and heating vents as the sun and heat will make the flowers “mature” faster.
