Delivery
How does my gift arrive?
We deliver all flowers and gifts in Crushes designed boxes. Your flowers will be securely wrapped, the stems kept wet and safe from the rigours of travel. Gift products that can fit in the same box are placed inside. Any gifts that won’t fit are placed in additional boxes and shipped together.
Where do you deliver?
Right now, we deliver to Melbourne metro areas. Crushes will be growing into other cities and regions over time and we would love to let you know when we come to your town! Click here to get notified.
How much is delivery?
We offer a flat $19 delivery fee up to 30km from the CBD. right across Melbourne. Beyond this, prices are calculated by postcode.
Who delivers the flowers?
We have our own drivers, as well as partnering with a couple of ‘direct to customer’ couriers to ensure speedy delivery.
What days do you deliver?
We currently deliver Monday to Friday. We will soon open deliveries on the weekend and we would love to let you know when that happens! Click here to get notified.
Do you do ‘same-day’ delivery?
At this stage we don’t. This is a sustainability decision because same-day deliveries often create a system of waste. With next-day and future date delivery, we can buy to order and reduce waste to almost zero. Great for you and great for the planet!
Do you deliver on public holidays?
As a general rule we don’t, but if the delivery calendar shows an open date on a public holiday, then it means we are open for deliveries on that date. We always advise our customers to order early special dates so that there is no disappointment.
What happens if nobody is home when the flowers arrive?
When you order from Crushes, you will have the option to leave a delivery note about where the flowers should be left at the delivery location. These instructions guide the courier so that even if nobody is home, the flowers will be safe. If there is simply no safe place to leave the flowers, the driver may opt to begin a ‘return’ order. In this case, Crushes will be in touch to discuss with you.
Can I choose a time as well as a day for delivery?
When you order, you can choose the day but not the time at this stage. If for any reason you simply need the delivery in a super hurry or at a certain time of the day, you can add a delivery note to your order (at checkout) and we will do our absolute best to accommodate your needs.
How will I know when my delivery is on its way?
We have a great tracking system which will either email or text you (or both) depending on your preferences. You’ll be able to see where your delivery is live.
Do you deliver to apartments?
Yes we do. However, if there is no secure place to leave a delivery, please ensure someone is home when the delivery is on its way.
Do you deliver to hospitals?
Yes we do! Flowers delivered to hospitals are left at reception and passed on by the hospital staff. Once the flowers are delivered to reception, Crushes assumes no responsibility for the remaining part of the delivery to the recipient.
Gifts & Flowers
You promote sustainability, what do you do to live-up to that claim?
We believe that sustainability is about buying local - we avoid international products unless absolutely necessary, supporting sustainable suppliers - we research suppliers with credentials that align with these standards, and operating a business that produces minimal waste - by delivering ‘next day and future dates’, we have very little waste because we buy stock according to actual orders. ‘Sameday’ delivery (although convenient) means stock must be bought in the ‘hope’ that it will be sold. Often it isn’t though, and becomes a waste product. This is a huge part of the floral industry and one that can have a huge impact on the environment.
Where do you source your flowers?
Wherever physically possible, we source our flowers from local growers. We believe in selling only seasonal products, which means both growers and the environment benefit. This can mean that sometimes we won’t have certain flowers in stock, but we will clearly communicate this when necessary.
How long will my flowers last?
Flower type, weather conditions, delivery drop-off location and the way you care for the flowers, all play a part in longevity. With proper care however, your flowers should last between 5 and 14 days. For best results, trim the stems when you receive them, add them to water, change the water every second day, and keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight.
What’s the best way to look after my flowers?
When the flowers arrive, unwrap them and snip a cm from the bottom of the stem on an angle..
Half fill a vase and add in the flower food you got in your delivery.
Place the bouquet in the vase and keep them out of direct sunlight if possible.
Remove any leaves that may be soaking in the water.
Replace the water every few days to keep them fresh!
Where do you source your other gift products?
We have wonderful relationships with many talented creators and businesses in Australia. We build partnerships with these companies to offer the best quality hand picked products.
I want to write a custom message. Can I do that?
When choosing a greeting card for your gift, you can choose from one of our lovely pre-written messages. You can then enter a ‘to’ name and a ‘from’ name which we will hand write onto the greeting card you’ve chosen.
We always appreciate feedback, so if a custom message feature is something you’d love to see, please let us know via email or the Live Chat. That way we can make sure we know how popular this feature is.
Will the flowers I buy look exactly like the photo on the website?
They will certainly be similar, but they likely won’t be exactly the same. This is due to many factors, including seasonality and stock availability. We strive to be as sustainable as possible and this sometimes means sourcing alternatives to what is shown in the photographs. Rest assured, your flowers are going to be gorgeous and you’ll likely enjoy them more than expected!
Sales & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We utilise the Shopify platform for payments and therefore have an array of standard payment options. These options may change from time to time, so please check the ‘Checkout Page’ for options before placing your order.
Does Crushes have a physical storefront?
No, Crushes is an online retailer only. This website is your portal to all our products!
Do you take custom orders?
Yes we do! Please get in touch via our online form here or our live chat to discuss your needs.
Can I have gifts sent to more than one address?
If you would like more than one delivery address, you will need to complete more than one order. Each individual order can only be sent to one address.
Do you supply corporate flowers and gifts?

Do you do weddings, funerals, other events?
We certainly do, and would love to hear about your event! We are selective about the projects we take on, so get in touch via our online form here to begin the discussion. We look forward to hearing from you!
Do you run promotions and discounts?
Yes! We often run regular promos and we have discounts for various reasons. If you signup to our mailing list, you will get a one off 10% code to use on any order. Signup to the Crush Club to get promo’s directly in your inbox!.
Can I cancel my order?
Cancellations require a minimum 24 hours notice please. After 24 hours, your order is in the system and we’ve purchased stock accordingly, therefore cancelling is not possible. We order stock as accurately as possible to physical orders so that our environmental impact is as low as possible. This means we have very little waste!
Should I have received an order confirmation?
Yes, once you place your order successfully, and payment has been successful, you should receive a confirmation email. If you don’t have one, please first check your spam folder. If it’s not in there, please drop us a line via email or on the Live Chat and we will help you out right away.
